We feel very accomplished to have successfully  set up MIJS Online - our virtual Islamic school since October 2020 - under the banner of Madressa Imam Ja'afar e Sadiq (AS) - Sharjah.

Madressa Imam Ja'afar e Sadiq (AS) was established back in 1988 - providing the mo'mineen of Sharjah (UAE) with a center for Islamic education for children and ladies, according to the teachings of the Ahlulbayt (AS). 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the brick-and-mortar building was temporarily closed in 2017 after serving as an instrumental and enlightening source of religious activities and education for the ladies, youth and children of Sharjah and surrounding areas - for over 29 years.

Even though the year 2020 was challenging with the rise and spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, we thank Allah (SWT) for the blessings in disguise. With the evolution of ONLINE and VIRTUAL Learning, we successfully launched  M.I.J.S once again after 3 years, Alhamdulillah - restarting our journey online and globally. 

Our first year virtually received a lot of appreciation and success with over 180+ regular students enrolled, and almost 35+ staff members as part of our team. We thus decided to continue with this initiative - which has benefitted so many students from all across the globe - Alhamdulillah!

While MIJS Online classes will take place on Saturday mornings, in Academic year 2021-2022, we also launched a beautiful initiative in collaboration from Imam-e-Asr Academy: Maktab Habib Ibn Mazaahir (AS) - which is a special program for memorization of Nahjul Balagha, the Holy Qur'an, Saheefa e Sajjadiya and Ahaadith of the 14 Holy Ma'sumeen (AS). This program runs on Sundays; more details can be found here.

All of this has only been possible because of the will of Allah (SWT) and the blessings of the Ma'sumeen (AS); we have been blessed to be equipped with valuable and knowledgeable faculty members - with years of experience in our Madressa - joining hands with us and volunteering for this cause, from every part of the globe. Alhamdulillah! 

We welcome all parents to enroll their children (ages 4 years and above*) for the new Academic year 2024-2025; our 5th consecutive year online after relaunching. We encourage all to join this cause to continue gaining from the knowledge that they can avail from MIJS Online, InshaAllah!
